About me

The short version, without the corporate voice.

I'm Wyatt Martensen. I help small business owners use AI to buy back their time.

I've spent about fifteen years working across a lot of different industries and a lot of different roles. Some of that was inside big companies. You see up close why their operations run so smoothly, and how much of that is systems quietly doing work in the background that nobody has to think about.

The rest was inside small businesses. That's a different world. I've seen the good months and the lean ones, and what it really takes to hold everything together when there's no department to hand things off to.

What I kept running into

The same thing showed up in both places. I kept meeting owners and managers who were good at their jobs and completely buried. Almost every one of them said some version of the same sentence:

“If I could just clone myself, I could actually get it all done.”

Why me, of all people

Here's what surprises people: I'm not a deeply technical person. I don't have a computer science degree. I'm pursuing a business degree in accounting, which probably tells you where my head actually lives — in how a business runs, not in code.

I learned AI the way you would. By needing it, sitting down with it, and putting in the hours. Hundreds of them at this point, sorting out what actually works from what just sounds impressive.

That turned out to be the whole advantage. I know what it feels like to read a page about “AI-powered workflow automation” and have no idea what you're supposed to do on Monday morning. So I don't talk that way. If I can't explain a tool to you in plain English, and tell you exactly what it will do for your business this month, then I don't think you should buy it.

You're running a business every day. You've got a life on top of that, and maybe a family. You don't have hundreds of hours to spend learning this, and you shouldn't have to. I already spent them. My job is to catch you up without making you do the reading.

Where I am right now

I'm early. I'm not going to pretend otherwise, and you shouldn't trust anyone who does. I'm taking on a small number of founding clients at a reduced rate while I build a track record. I'm already building a custom tool for a client right now.

What you get out of that trade: more of my direct attention than you'd get from someone with a full roster, and a price that reflects the fact that I'm still building my name. What I get out of it is a real result I can point to. That only works if it actually works for you, so I'm motivated.

People find their passion at their own pace. I found mine in business, and I'm all in on it.

No long contracts. If it saves you time, we keep going. If it doesn't, we stop.
